Our story

Stint’s founders, Sam and Emanuel, were studying at university when they noticed a glaring problem. Students desperately needed flexible work to manage the rising cost of living, but traditional part-time jobs simply didn't fit around lectures and exams. The system wasn't working for anyone.

Something needed to change.

After speaking with over 1,000 hospitality operators, they realised operators were struggling with the exact same lack of flexibility. Venues were trying to meet fluctuating daily demand using rigid rotas, leaving teams understaffed during peaks and overspending during quiet periods.

In 2018, Stint was born.

We quickly grew from a small WhatsApp group for short shifts into a nationwide network of over 100,000 people, proving that targeted flexible labour could completely transform our Partner’s businesses.

But as we spent years working alongside many of the top brands in hospitality, a second, deeper issue became impossible to ignore. Flexible staff relieved the immediate pressure, but managers were still spending hours every week working with clunky, outdated software just to build a schedule. The manual admin was keeping them stuck in the back office instead of supporting their teams.

So, we built the technology they actually needed.

Today, Stint has evolved into a comprehensive workforce management platform. We combined our six years of frontline experience with world-class AI researchers to create Stint AI. We took everything we learned about daily hospitality challenges and built an intelligent platform that guides managers step by step, allowing them to ditch the admin, optimise their operations, and seamlessly integrate our flexible workforce.

We started out by matching students to Stints. Today, we deliver the smart technology and the flexible workers it takes to run smoother, more profitable venues across entire estates.
