In late 2018 Busaba integrated with Stint across 7 sites. Operations Director Steven Philips wanted to bring Stints in to help improve customer service at their busy periods, whilst cutting out excess labour during the quieter periods.

He had highlighted that an issue with restaurants was that during the busy periods, staff just didn’t have the time build a rapport with customers, and this had an impact on Average-Spend-Per-Head. Bringing in Stint enabled them to overcome this problem because it meant they could have the right number of staff when they’re busy.

Not only this, but the overall labour wage bill reduced because “you are paying a number of two or three hour shifts instead of keeping your core team happy with 5 or 6 hour shifts”.
