We want every student and every business on our platform to feel safe and secure when using Stint – whether you’re a business inviting in a new person to work alongside your staff, or you’re a student going into an unfamiliar business.
How do we achieve this?
Onboarding: First of all, every business needs to meet the legal health and safety requirements in order to work with Stint.
Ratings: We encourage students and businesses to rate each other after every stint. You can see the average rating of a business before you decide whether to accept a stint there.
Feedback: We listen to reviews and feedback from students. Whenever we hear feedback that there is room for improvement in the student experience at a business, we relay the issue to that business in full – we know that students will stop using Stint if they don’t enjoy their experience.
Off boarding: If we hear that a business has breached our Community Guidelines [see below], we raise this with them immediately so that they can fix the problem. If they don’t improve, they could be removed from the platform to protect the community.
Student support: Our Student Customer Service team is available seven days a week to help with any questions you might have. Reach out to email@example.com and our team will get back to you as soon as possible.
Onboarding: We meet every student on the platform in person before sending them on their first stint.
Ratings: We encourage students and businesses to rate each other after every stint. If a student’s ratings are too low, they could be removed from the platform.

We at Stint believe that safety for businesses and students is split into physical safety and mental wellbeing.
1. Ensuring Physical Safety
Physical safety involves both the properties of the physical working environment hosting a Stint and the physical actions of those within it.
In terms of a business’ working environment, Stint expects a hygienic, hazard-free space for students to work in, including no wet floors, fire hazards or generally substandard working conditions.
Physical safety also covers the actions of everyone on the platform, including students and the employees of the businesses. Stint does not tolerate any form of non-consensual contact, including sexual harassment and physical aggression.
2. Ensuring Mental Wellbeing
Safety also centres on mental wellbeing. To create an environment where students feel comfortable, Stint expects students and businesses to treat each other appropriately in their workplaces.
Specifically, Stint does not tolerate any form of racist, sexist, anti-LGBTQ+, anti-religious, xenophobic and ableist behavior, nor any other behavior based on a prejudice. Further, we expect everyone to be treated equally, as valued members of a united workforce; Stint does not tolerate offensive comments being made based on any personal qualities, such as appearance or accent.
Any reported instances of such behavior will be treated seriously, involving an investigation by our Customer Service team.
Stint is committed to dealing with such situations in a committed and considerate way. We promise to obtain as much information as possible from all available sources before making judgement on the appropriate action to take.
